Installing apps

Browse the App Store, install an app, and understand what permissions it's asking for.

Browsing the App Store

Open Apps in the sidebar to see every app published by this platform's developer community — each listing shows what it does, its pricing, and merchant reviews and ratings, the same way a listing on any other app marketplace would.

Installing an app

  1. Click Install on an app's listing.
  2. You'll see exactly what access it's requesting — for example "read your products" or "read and write orders." Apps only ever get the specific permissions they ask for, nothing more.
  3. Approve, and the app is installed immediately — no waiting on a review from your side.

Once installed, an app can appear in two places depending on what it does: as its own page under Apps in your sidebar (for apps with a full embedded interface), or as a section you can add to your storefront from the theme editor — see Themes & the editor.

Managing installed apps

From the Apps page you can open any installed app, or uninstall it. Uninstalling revokes its access immediately and removes any storefront sections it added.

Paid apps

Some apps charge a subscription or a per-use fee, billed through the same billing account as your store plan — you'll see the price and billing terms before you approve the install, and it appears as its own line on your invoices afterward.
